Global warming
Global warming is the overheating of air in the lower atmosphere. The rise in the temperature of the earth due to increase in the concentration of green house gases like carbon dioxide, oxides of sulfur, nitrogen oxides, etc. leads to global warming. Today, global warming is the serious problem of world. Due to over concentration of the green house gases in the troposphere caused by various human activities, the surface of the Earth and the air close to it are overheated. The rise of global temperature about 0.3-0.7 degree celsius was recorded during the last century. The effcts of global warming is seen with the melting of mountains and glaciers in Antarctic ocean. Though green house effect is imortant for the well maintainence of heat on earth, over green house effect leads to global warming. Due to this, people are suffering from different problems like climate change, diseases like malaria and filariasis, shortage of drinking water due to evaporation of terrestrial water , etc.
