3-D and 4-D film in film technology

In the revolutionary development of movie,3D and 4D movie have brought new image of film.Each of them has their own special effect to the viewers.

3D Film

3D film is the motion picture which enhances the illusion of depth perception.For such film a special type of motion picture camera is used to record images as seen from two perspectives and eye wear are used to provide the illusion of depth while viewing the film. 3-D films have came to existence since 1890, and till now it has been largely adopted to a niche in the motion picture industry. Earlier it was introduced in American cinema in the 1950s, and gradually featured in different world cinema.
3-d film become more and more success throughout 2000-2010,with huge success of 3-D presentation of Avatar, Shrek etc.

4-D film

It is an entertainment presentation system that combines the 3-D film with physical effects which occur in synchronization with the film. It is mostly presented at special venues such as amusement parks and theme parks to set up physical effects.Starting with "Journey to the center of the earth", Avatar,Shrek,about 10 film have got 4-d treatment. Viewers can experience special effects of rain, wind, strobe lights,and vibration. A 4-D film shown with motion simulator,though some seats in 4-D venues may move or vibrate during presentation.
